Bella had almost immediately found herself bolting in a random direction—chased and being pecked at by a swarm of Fletchling, Dewdrop having escaped atop Angel's back to enjoy the show without getting pecked at himself, "Jeez! I'm sorry! Was it something I said?!" she'd whined as she'd covered her face, her two partner pokémon alongside her Rotom Phone chasing after the poor girl and the aggravated bird pokémon.[break][break]

In truth, she'd tried to sneak up on one of them and had succeeded in straight up picking one up and declaring it as one of her new besties with a proud smile. The Fletchling seemed to take exception to that. She'd continuing running for what had felt like her own life here, far too busy to notice she'd ran right into a pond. At the very least, Alfred Hitchcock's vengeance seemed to have lost interest in her as she'd tumbled into the water.[break][break]

Angel had sighed as the Croagunk atop her back had snickered and given the Rotom Phone a high five.[break][break]

Thankfully, Bella was pretty good at swimming, considering she was born in a port town, and she'd held her breath as she'd stayed underwater, peering up and making sure the Fletchling weren't waiting for her to surface to peck her to death. She'd squinted when she did eventually surface, ready to dive right back down at the first sign of danger, truly having devolved into our precursor ancestors. Yet as it seemed nothing would be coming to attack her for now, Bella had waded to the water's edge, sighing with a bit of disappointment that she wouldn't be able to befriend the little bird pokémon from earlier.[break][break]

She'd shivered a little as she'd started trying to squeeze her clothes dry, sniffling a bit, "eugh, I'm gonna have a cold this week, aren't I?" she'd already sounded nasally, honestly. At the very least, the sun was rather bright out today, as her pokémon reconvened with the lass, she'd laid out most of her clothes to dry, wearing at least a shirt and pants to keep some decency about her.[break][break]

Despite that, she'd still flinched when she'd heard rustling in the bushes nearby, panicking about how she might have to explain what had happened, even considering hiding beneath Angel to avoid having to do so, only for a little Mienfoo to wander out from the bushes. It seemed the little guy had thought the trainer and her pokémon were invading his territory, and had leapt to attack—only to be swiftly knocked out by a combination of a Sucker Punch from Dewdrop, coupled with a Night Slash from Angel, the quick one-two counter catching the poor thing off guard while Bella had flinched and reeled.[break][break]

One of her eyes eventually opened, peeking to see why there hadn't been another attack nor chase, only to see the fainted Mienfoo collapsed on the floor, with a nervous yet somehow proud laugh she'd stood triumphant despite not having actually made any commands—giving Dewdrop a high five that had numbed her hand a little and tussling the fur of Angel with plenty of affection, which despite the Absol's seeming resistance to her fluffing, seemed to actually enjoy the attention.[break][break]

The awkward streamer had tip toed to the knocked out pokémon, a little worried what it might do if it were awake... but nonetheless, she'd tapped a poké ball against it, hoping for the best.

Bella sighed with relief as the Mienfoo seemed to be caught, she'd scooped up the poké ball and stashed it away before going back to check on her clothes that had been left to dry, though, a brisk breeze had sent a chill through the poor girl as she'd sneezed, still a little drenched from her unfortunate little swim, "... eugh..." she'd griped a little nasally, rubbing her arms together to try and be a little warmer. It had taken her a second to notice that her sneeze had alerted another pokémon, a rumbling engine-like sound echoing just over yonder as Bella had straightened up to see if she could see above the bushes with these couple centimetres afforded.[break][break]

The moment she did, she'd almost immediately had to duck as a sudden Varoom had leapt out of the bushes, threatening to slam right into her face with an Iron Head, "Oh holy--" she'd yelped, nearly losing her balance—rather surprised by the fact that she'd managed to dodge, and a little proud, unaware of the pokémon's Slow Start. With a hearty, triumphant chuckle and a swish of her hair in her hand with a far too shit-eating cocky and overconfident smile, she'd called out an order, "Dewdrop, show this ol' fool who he's messing with! Hit 'em with a Mud-Slap!" the Croagunk had fired a muddy bolt at the Varoom, blinding it alongside dealing some rather surprisingly impactful damage.[break][break]

Seizing the chance, Bella had quickly fastballed a poké ball at the not quite revved up and blinded Varoom!

As the ball clicked to confirm the capture, Bella had given herself a little fist pump in celebration. She'd picked the ball up, giving it a small toss as she smiled happily before trying to stash the ball away... only to accidentally drop it, panicking as it rolled away from her into the water, in the heat of the moment she'd full on dived right back into the same pond she'd crawled out of earlier, only realising what she was doing before she'd found herself in the drink.[break][break]

Thankfully, the pond wasn't that particularly deep, a couple meters deep at most at this part of the pond, and she'd spotted the poké ball she'd dropped, determined to rescue her poor new Varoom. As she did, she'd noticed a pair of eyes lurking somewhere deeper in the pond—nearly choking out the last of her oxygen as she'd felt far too creeped out by the beady little eyes in the dark. Before anything else, she'd hurried for her ball, then put every muscle in her body into overdrive as she'd swam upwards and outwards.[break][break]

Drenched and dripping as she'd hurried out of the pond, nearly losing a shoe in the process, she'd coughed a couple times as she tried to catch her breath. Turning back slightly, she worried about what she'd seen in there... far too creeped out by the unblinking emptiness within the abyss that she'd witnessed. Yet despite the sense of dread and fear that was permeating itself throughout her, Bella'd been smiling, shivering with excitement with a trembling smile. She was SURE she'd found a ghost this time! Though, she'd figured realistically she'd need to be better equipped for this, as excited as she was. The quirky young girl made a note to herself that she'd need to come back here again at some point, completely unaware that what she'd saw in there was a Lileep.[break][break]

Yet despite her newfound inspiration from this supposed ghost event, a quick breeze had reminded her of her current predicament as she shivered and sneezed. The poor girl was probably going to be stuck with a cold at some point. Sniffling a little with a soft "eugh..." she'd dragged herself back to her drier clothes, squeezing out her freshly drenched clothes and hair with a rather unpleasantly upset look on her face. There wasn't really much point in putting on more layers if they'd get soaked through and she'd still be cold... wait what's that rooting through her clothes?[break][break]

A small little indent undearneath her jacket that had been laid out in the sun, moving about, Bella's curious eyes watching as it trailed back and forth, only for a little Pichu's face to pop out from one of her sleeves. She'd practically squee'd with joy over how adorable the mouse pokémon was, "oh my god, hey there! You're just a little guy, aren't ya?" she'd gushed, getting a little too close to the Pichu for his comfort, "a little scrinkly baby, you'd like, actually fit in my pocket you adorable little thing!" as the girl had gotten closer and closer, it seemed she'd formed quite the bond with the little mouse, in fact, this inseparable bond between Bella and the Pichu was so strong it was electric! A point blank Thunder Shock had jolted the rather foolish streamer, stunning her long enough for the Pichu to make his escape... with one of her snacks that seemed to have been hidden in her jacket.[break][break]

Bella had let out a rather heavy sigh as she'd fallen onto her back, looking mentally exhausted and a little miffed, today just hadn't been the poor girl's day. Attacked by a terrifying flock of bloodthirsty giant birds, getting swept away in some deadly currents down a waterfall, only to get attacked by two terrifying ferocious beasts—which of course, god's grace upon this world had easily beaten back with her own two hands and tamed the foolish monsters who'd attempted to jump her. Then what? One of them goes and gets stolen from her by some drowned spectre who she'd crushed again, only for her great journey to be thwarted by the most adorable little thief who she didn't even get to squish the cheeks of? The day sucked![break][break]

As the perhaps a little too imaginative ghost chaser laid there on the floor, her stomach grumbling with her lunch stolen, her pokémon had seemed perhaps a bit worried for the girl, even Dewdrop who'd been mostly watching for entertainment wasn't heartless, the Croagunk and her Absol cozying up next to the girl, even her Mimikyu and Sprigatito had escaped their poké balls to sit atop her chest and let her relax a bit in the company of her best friends, "... thanks guys," she'd muttered with a soft smile, pulling herself up a little as Angel let her rest her head on her pearl white fur. Bella'd enjoyed the warmth of her pokémon, almost sniveling at the affectionate care she was being given.[break][break]

She'd cozied up, settling with her pokémon to take a small break before she'd head back to the safari entrance, patting and giving her pokémon affectionate little scritches as she gazed up into the sunny sky, maybe the day wasn't so bad after all.[break][break]

She'd dozed absentmindedly giving Nyarium some scratches behind the ear, the grass cat purring with affection, patting Dewdrop who'd croaked lazily, only to move her hand over to a meowing Nyarium who'd seemed to want some more affection. Wait what? The meow she'd heard had been a bit deeper than that of her Sprigatito's... and last she checked, she certainly hadn't had two cat pokémon, yet on one hand was the purring grass pokémon, and the other... as she'd pat down the fluffy copycat to feel out its shape... she'd crooked her neck, looking to see just what she was patting... and to her surprise, it was a rather adorable black and red cat, that had seemed to press his head into her hand. Bella'd surpressed whatever disgustingly sugary monstrous noise that was about to escape her throat at the sight of the affectionate pokémon.[break][break]

While she'd had no idea why the wild pokémon had seemed so friendly to her—perhaps it had just seen the comfortable haven that was the pile of pokémon surrounding Bella and wanted in on the comfort—she had absolutely no reason to refuse, giving the surprise Litten a scratch under the chin and a little boop on the nose. She'd picked up the little guy with both hands, seeming to cause enough of a stir that her pokémon had looked to see the stranger amongst them, the Litten seeming unfazed and used to people, "you're the most adorable little guy I've met today, ya know," she'd grinned as the Litten meowed, "how'sabout you come with me~? Nyarium over here'd be able to tell you just how well I care for my little buddies, and there's plenty of space at my place if you wanted! Not a single day where you'll go hungry, either!" she'd smiled, sitting the pokémon next to her Sprigatito before offering the safari poké ball to the fire cat.[break][break]

Even if the Litten didn't want to come home with her, just this warm little moment had made today worth it.
